TORCHED
When firefighters need to strengthen control lines by burning-out fuel loads or conduct backfiring operations to neutralize an approaching flame-front, the drip-torch is a simple and effective burning tool. The flaming mix coats grasses and brush allowing time for the vegetation to ignite. Fueled by 3 parts diesel to 1 part gasoline, its wick stays lit as the operator walks about, dropping flames by tipping the nozzle down. A vent on the canister allows for mix flow adjustment.
